As entrepreneurs, we are extremely limited in our available time. This means whatever time we do have, we need to be efficient. Nothing is more frustrating than wasting time and spinning your wheels, doing something for nothing.
Sadly, this is what some of us are doing when we haven't defined our Target Market and our message is arriving on the wrong stage.
In this episode, we break down the four steps to finding and defining your Target Market along with a bonus tip.
Step #1: Define Your Brand
Before you can get to know others, you need to first know who you are. Taking the time to decide what you want your brand to represent, how you want your customers to feel and what their experience will be like, will pay dividends in the future.

Step #2: Research Your Market
Get prepared by understanding your market's needs, wants and desires. Reverse engineer your business strategy by no longer creating products you love and trying to convince people to buy... instead understand your audience and curate products that meets their needs and/or desires.
It will sell itself with minimal convincing.
Step #3: Create a Customer Persona
Personalize your marketing efforts by creating a Customer Persona. Give your persona a name. Every email written, post created and reel taped should be directed at this persona.
This will allow you to connect on a deeper level with your audience to grow the Like, Know & Trust factor.
Step #4: Engage with Your Target Market
Once you find and gather your audience, the real work begins. Be sure to connect with them beyond a surface level engagement post. Share your story and invite them in. Be mindful of oversharing and the environment you want to foster. By doing so, you open the door to creating organic relationships.
Bonus Tip: Share Audiences
There is a good chance, another business has already gathered your target market. Look around for networking opportunities to guest post in each other's communities.
Shift your efforts from thinking about what you like to what your audience needs and desires. Meet them right where they are.
